Data Cubes - Blank

When you create a data cube, you can optionally start with a blank canvas to build the structures and ETL process your organization needs.
Create a new, blank data cube

Open the data cube work area. You can do this in one of several ways:

Select and drop a data structure into the data cube work area. You can do this in one of several ways:

Locate an existing data connector in the Explore window and expand it to show data structures such as tables. Drag and drop a structure to the canvas.
Data structures in your Symphony environment also include data sources discovered by Symphony in Managed Dashboard and Managed Reports data connectors, as well as shared from Data Discovery data connectors.

Select an option from the Add/Edit toolbar.

After you've added a first data structure (node), Symphony adds a second node: a connected Process Result .

Add more data structures, joins, transforms, scripts, and other inputs as needed to the single output, the Process Result.

Optionally, use the toolbar to perform tasks from the available menus (Essential, Common, Settings, Storage, Add/Edit). The options available in the Contextual menu may vary based on what is selected on the canvas.

Configure your Process Result. Configure the output of the data users with read access see when using it as a data source in metric sets.

When you've added, connected, and configured all elements, select Check In from the toolbar to make your data cube available to for use in your project and sharing with other users.
You need to be a user with a Developer seat to create or edit a data cube.
